Benefit Powderflage is a sheer, lightweight powder that promises to camouflage fine lines, dark circles and spots. Sounds good yes? Hmm… Well I will admit that when it first came out, I thought it was a total gimmick and said I would never ever buy it! However, since my dark circles always have me on the look out for products to brighten the shadows and make me look refreshed, I caved in and purchased this. I must say I’m tres impressed.
The packaging is so very cute, it’s like a tiny ball! Inside, the product is a very light pink, super fine powder that when applied instantly brightens and reflects light, hiding those evil shadows!! It’s absolutely perfect for setting under eye concealer. The light pink colour helps to disguise any discoloration and the shade is light but sheer enough to work on all skin tones. The brightening effect makes my face look refreshed and more awake. Best of all, the powder doesn’t settle into fine lines so it looks natural and not at all cakey.
It comes with a cute fan brush but I haven’t really used it. I think a fluffy eyeshadow brush works better, I use MAC’s 224 brush. You dip the brush into the powder in the pot, tap off any excess, then sweep across the under eye area on top of your concealer and your done 🙂
I wouldn’t recomend using this product on its own unless you don’t have a big problem with dark circles. As even though it still has that brightening effect, my dark circles were still visible. Also make sure you close the container tightly. I can only imagine the mess the powder would make if it opened up in your makeup bag accidently!
Overall I love Powderflage and will definitely be buying it again.
Available at all Benefit counters in Myer. RRP $50 something AUD (Sorry, can’t remember what it was exactly or find my receipt!)
