Illamasqua Cream Pigments!

A few months ago, with their Toxic Nature SS2011 collection, Illamasqua released a brand new product – Cream Pigments! They’re what you would get if you mixed a cream eyeshadow and Illamasqua’s ever popular Pure Pigments. Yep, it’s a match made in beauty heaven as they are absolutely AH-MAZ-ING!

As the name suggests, the Cream Pigments are highly pigmented and have a soft, creamy smooth texture. They definitely aren’t sticky nor as emollient as the Liquid Metals, and dry to a satiny matte finish. They’re super easy to work with, and can be blended and built up to your desired colour or intensity. The Cream Pigments have been designed with your imagination in mind so can be used on the eyes/lips/face/hair… well everywhere and anywhere actually, so feel free to go crazy! For the eyes, be sure to use a good eyeshadow primer and top with a powder to set. Otherwise I’ve found that on my eyes they crease within an hour as I have quite oily eyelids. On my cheeks and lips they last much, much longer. Though for your lips, top with a clear gloss or balm as they may feel a little dry. It’s best to apply the Cream Pigments with your fingers or a flat shader brush such as the MAC 142. Overall I love these Pigments and though I use them quite conventionally, those more adventurous will easily use these to find their alter ego!
Today I’m going to be showing off 3 of the 6 amazing Cream Pigment colours. There’s Dab, Delirium and Mould.

L-R: Dab, Delirium and Mould

Dab – A lovely pale lavender shade, that’s such a fun shot of colour and instantly brightens up your eyes. Adore this on the inner corners, or all over the lid as an eyeshadow base. Works well on the lips too, to give you a girly lavender pout.
Delirium – My favourite out of the lot! It’s a beautiful, rosy taupe and would suit most skintones. I love using this on my eyes with a flick of black liquid liner, a simple but pretty look (FOTD below). Would also be wonderful as a cheek colour, especially for those with paler skintones than moi.
Mould* – A stunning deep grape. Looks amazing as a base for dark purple smokey eyes. Makes for a fabulous bold statement lip as well, however I’m not quite game enough to wear that outside the house!

I love these too! I’ve really been loving Emerge in particular I have the worst (maybe slightly exaggerating) under eye circles anyone has ever seen and it works a treat! I haven’t got Delirium but I think I might have to buy it 🙂
