Illamasqua Naked Strangers Collection!

Neutrals are my staple when it comes to make up. So when I heard about the new Naked Strangers collection from Illamasqua, a reaction of extreme excitement from me might be an understatement lol. The Naked Strangers Collection is a showcase of amazing nude toned make up but with a brilliant Illamasqua twist, and I was lucky enough to receive 2 products from the collection – The Sheer Lipgloss in Intimacy and the Cream Blusher in Zygomatic. Both such gorgeous shades and both right up my alley!

Cream Blusher in Zygomatic RRP AU$42

Zygonmatic is a pretty, pale dusty pink cream blush. It looks very natural on and has the most beautiful dewy finish. Especially loving this for winter to give your cheeks that fresh glow. The texture of the blush is quite light and not at all sticky, and lasts a good 6-7 hours on me. It’s a great colour that will work with a multitude of looks and depending on the finish you prefer, can be worn on bare skin, on top of foundation or set with a little powder.

Sheer Lipgloss in Intimacy RRP AU$33

Intimacy is a lovely nude, pinky brown gloss with a tiny flecks of gold shimmer. It’s a great sheer colour that can be worn own its own or topped over lipstick. It applies nice and evenly with the brush applicator for a super glossy finish. It is on the sticky side but this helps with a longer lasting wear. Pair Intimacy with dark smokey eyes for a fun night out or just pop it on to run some errands. It’s a fab, no fuss, goes with everything colour that will suit all skin tones. I also love the fruity scent!

Happy 2nd birthday to Miss J. Shopaholic!

It's hard to believe that my little blog turns 2 today. When I wrote my first post 2 years ago, I hadn't really decided on a direction of where I wanted it to go but soon my love for all things beauty took over (the blog and my life haha) and honestly, I never thought that I'd still be at it now. I'm not the best blogger, actually I'm kind of bad because I hardly ever blog lol. So a huge thanks to all of you who have stuck by me and to you all you new readers as well, I promise to there’s plenty more beauty and shopaholic fun to come!

Anyways, thought I’d share some random things about me:

• I love vanilla scented anything
• I’ve always lived in apartments and it freaks me out that in a house random people could come up to your door and knock on it
• It is my dream to live in New York!
• I am super shy. You might not know this if you met me though as it’s something I try to push myself to overcome every day.  
• After make up, my biggest obsession is designer handbags
• I did an accounting degree at University, whilst working as an assistant accountant part time. After I graduated last year I realised that I didn’t want to be an accountant anymore. Now working in a completely different field and enjoying it loads.
• I make a mean baked cheesecake
• I always wear a watch but never use it to tell the time, I check my phone instead
• I've done a course in archery (and I'm actually pretty good at it)
• I can't think of anything else that might be interesting but I have a weird thing about even numbers so have to finish this on number 10!

Estée Lauder Pure Color Blush in Pink Ingenue!

Estée Lauder is a brand that has really been impressing me lately with their new product launches, especially the new Pure Colour Blush range. The range is big, like wowza big. There’s a whopping 12 shades from exciting brights to more delicate colours, and there’s 2 awesome finishes, shimmer and satin. So let me tell you now there is definitely one (or a few) that you’re sure to fall in love with!

I was lucky enough to get to play with the colour Pink Ingenue, which is a slightly mauve rosy pink shimmer blush. It’s super pretty and gives your cheeks a lovely fresh natural glow, like you’ve just come in from the cold. Oh and whilst I can see the shimmer in the pan, it’s quite subtle once applied so perfect for all skin types and ages. The texture of the blush is wonderfully soft and silky, and it is SO pigmented! What’s more the blushes are formulated with Estee Lauder’s True Vision technology and antioxidant extracts like Cranberry and Goji Berry, so your cheeks not only look good, they feel good and the radiant colour stays on all day.

I also adore the packing, oversized and gorgeously encased in Lauder gold with brush included so great for when you’re on the go. The new Pure Colour Blush range from Estee Lauder is sure to wow all you make up lovers out there!

Don't be a Victim - New Goldwell Campaign!

Hey beauties!

Thought I'd quickly share this video with you... it's a new campaign from salon only professional hair care brand Goldwell, helping to bring awareness to the potential horrors of home hair colouring. 

As a salon hair colouring fanatic, had too many bad experiences with home colouring when I was younger, I fully support this campaign and can attest to how much better salon colouring looks and feels! Now while my experiences with home colouring aren't quite like what happens here, it is a slightly creepy super fun video so check it out and Don't Be A Victim!
