Estée Lauder Pure Color Cello Shots Collection!

Mix and match fresh, vibrant colours with the new Estée Lauder PureColor Cello Shots Collection!

Cello Shots features three, colour co-ordinating products, all of which revolve around “aqua colour”. What’s this you ask? Well, Creative Makeup Director extraordinaire, Tom Pecheux, describes this as “a gentle, watery look with just a touch of bright, vibrant color” and it’s pretty spot on. The products and colours are bright, yet fresh and subtle at the same time, all with cellophane-like finishes. Focusing on the lips and cheeks, the collection makes for a playful twist on matchy matchy make up, with exciting innovative formulas.

I was lucky enough to receive the trio of products in the shade X-Pose Rose, and as the name suggests they’re all in the rosy family but with a strong hint of berry, especially in the lip products. They are fabulous, soft everyday shades that can be easily mixed and matched, and worn day or night.

Oh and I adore the colour matched packaging. So pretty!

Pure Color Cheek Rush (RRP AU$60)

An awesome, lightweight gel formula blush that provides a fresh pop of colour. One pump is plenty to add a lovely flush to the cheeks and the blush dries quickly with a soft glow finish. It’s easy to work with and can be applied with your fingers or a stippling brush. It blends well and the colour buildable too. Lasting power is fantastic as it acts as sort of a stain on the cheeks, but it washes off quite easily. The formula is oil-free and includes an infusion of natural extracts and moisturising ingredients to help add a burst of hydration to the cheeks which is great. This is now a permanent product to the Lauder line up and is currently available in 4 shades.

Pure Color Sheer Rush Lip Shine (RRP AU$45)

A fabulous, sheer jelly lip colour that glides onto lips like a glossy dream. The texture is soft and balm-like, with a fresh finish of semi-translucent colour. The colour lasts a good couple of hours too, through eating and drinking, leaving a light stain on the lips in between touch ups. I also like the sleek lipstick case, it’s a good one to carry in a small purse and the bright tube makes it easy to spot in my handbag. The Lip Shine comes in 6 shades and are all limited edition, which I’m bummed about because the formula is divine! Must get more!

Pure Color Sheer Rush Gloss (RRP AU$42)

High shine with subtle colour, the third product in the Cello Shots range is the Sheer Rush Gloss. Formulated with a unique gellified water light system, the gloss provides a sheer wash of juicy colour to the lips with an amazing glossy finish. Lips feel moisturised and comfortable in one swipe and I also like the light fruity scent. This is limited edition as well and available in 6 shades.

Swatches L-R: Half pump Cheek Rush, Blended Cheek Rush, Sheer Rush Gloss & Lip Shine

All products from the Cello Shots collection are available now from Estée Lauder counters and online.
