The Estée Lauder Bronze Goddess Summer 2014 Collection is all about bringing out your inner summer goddess! The collection has an amazing focus on bronzed glowy skin, combined with bold vibrant shades on the eyes, lips and nails. Though the Winter season is upon us here in Melbourne, I definitely can’t help but daydream of a beautiful tropical island whenever I look at it – the bronze and metallic tones of the products definitely provide you with a statement makeup look and gives your skin a lovely warm, sun-kissed glow!
Pure Colour Eyeshadow Palette in Batik Sun, RRP AU$90 (LE)
The combination of colours in this palette just screams summer to me. Batik Sun gives you glistening gold toned shades with a spectacular orange and turquoise thrown in. Shimmery metallic goodness right here! The shadows have a soft texture and apply smoothly to the eye, with very little fall out. I love that this palette can be used to create subtle neutral looks, or make a statement by using the orange and green shades!
Pure Colour Liquid Eyeliner Duo in Black Sands, RRP AU$50 (LE)
You guys know I love my liquid eyeliner so I was definitely looking forward to trying this one out. With Black Sands, you not only not get a super pigmented black shade, you also get a gorgeous gold shimmer on the other end. Happy dance! It has a flexible felt-tip applicator and the product applies a little wet at first but only needs a couple of seconds to dry down. It has a lovely glossy finish and once applied the waterproof formula does not budge, like seriously, however it removes quite easily with makeup remover. Magic.
Pure Colour Illuminating Powder Gelée in Heat Wave, RRP AU$75 (LE)
Heat Wave is a stunning highlighter with a very luxurious feel to it. It illuminates the complexion and gives the skin a sultry yet polished glow. The formula is smooth and buildable, giving you the control of having a finish that is subtle to one that is highly pearlized. This makes for a fabulous product that can be used day or night. The pattern also reminds me of the bright Summer rays of sunlight.
Bronze Goddess Powder Bronzer in Light, RRP AU$58
The Bronze Goddess Powder Bronzer is silky smooth with a finely milled texture that applies well onto the cheeks and is super long wearing. It also contains a delicate shimmer, though it’s hardly noticeable once applied. Apply the powder softy to help to warm up the complexion or build it up to provide a dramatic facial contour. I adore this one and it’s now my daily go-to bronzer!
Bronze Goddess Luminous Liquid Bronzer, RRP AU$63 (LE)
A liquid bronzer with a lightweight texture that’s not at all sticky. The formula has a unique blend of bronzing pigments in a pearlized reflective base which I like to mix in with my foundation for added natural-looking radiance. Or sweep the product across the cheeks, shoulders and/or décolletage area to give your skin a beautiful all year round glow.
Pure Colour Long Lasting Lipstick in Fuchsia Fever, RRP AU$45
Wowza it’s a bright lipstick. Not a shade I’d normally rock to be honest as I’m more comfortable with nude shades, but it’s gorgeous nonetheless. The colour of Fuchsia Fever is exactly as the name suggests which makes for an amazing statement lip. The formula is nicely pigmented, with even coverage in one swipe and lasts a good 3-4 hours before fading to a pretty stain.
Pure Colour Nail Lacquer in Hot Spell, RRP AU$38 (LE)
Continuing on with wowza shades, say hello to Hot Spell. A stunning, vibrant coral nail polish that’s perfect for your tips and toes. It glides on super smooth and easily onto the nail with the wide brush, and it’s beautifully opaque in two coats. I just adore the jelly-like glossy finish of this polish!
Okay that was an uber long blog post right?! Stayed tuned for a FOTD post featuring the collection!!
