Chanel Le Blush Creme de Chanel – Review & Swatches!

As part of Chanel’s Fall 2013 beauty collection earlier in the year, they released a brand new cream blush line up or in Chanel language “Le Blush Creme de Chanel”. Fancy. Being a huge lover of cream blushes, when I first heard about this release I may have done a happy dance and rightly so, because 1) the promo images were gorgeous, and 2) they were Chanel! Hello, talk about two birds with one stone. I die.

Six shades were released and there’s definitely a shade to please all skintones and blush preferences, from pale pink to a deep fuchsia. I picked up 3 shades: Presage, Revelation and Fantastic. Which appealed to my penchant for pink and peachy blush tones. And boy, they don’t disappoint!

L-R: Chanel Le Blush Creme de Chanel in Presage, Revelation and Fantastic

Absolutely adore the shades and the texture of these. The blushes are a cream to powder formula and very easy to work with, and they blend well into the skin with a natural, even finish. Pigmentation is good, but also buildable without caking up. Lasting time is fabulous, I can get a good 6-8 hours on my normal/combination skin. Bottom line,  I’m super happy with the cream blushes, lusting after more, and hope Chanel continues to release new shades!

Le Blush Creme de Chanel in Presage #62
A lovely warm peach shade. A great one for “no make up” make up looks as it just gives a warm, healthy glow to the skin.

Le Blush Creme de Chanel in Revelation #63
My favourite of the lot! This was actually one of the only two blushes I brought with me on my USA holiday last September! It’s a beautiful warm, rosy pink. One of those no fuss shades that matches any look.

Le Blush Creme de Chanel in Fantastic #66
This is a stunning fuchsia shade with a hint of berry. Super pigmented so a little goes a long way. This one makes for a Fantastic bold cheek, you can pair with smoky eyes for the evening.

Chanel Holiday 2012 Make Up Collection!

One of my most anticipated make up releases of the holiday season is definitely the Chanel Holiday 2012 Make Up Collection (Éclats du Soir de Chanel). Things people do to get their hands on make up lol.=&1=&

Illamasqua Naked Strangers Collection!

Neutrals are my staple when it comes to make up. So when I heard about the new Naked Strangers collection from Illamasqua, a reaction of extreme excitement from me might be an understatement lol. The Naked Strangers Collection is a showcase of amazing nude toned make up but with a brilliant Illamasqua twist, and I was lucky enough to receive 2 products from the collection – The Sheer Lipgloss in Intimacy and the Cream Blusher in Zygomatic. Both such gorgeous shades and both right up my alley!

Cream Blusher in Zygomatic RRP AU$42

Zygonmatic is a pretty, pale dusty pink cream blush. It looks very natural on and has the most beautiful dewy finish. Especially loving this for winter to give your cheeks that fresh glow. The texture of the blush is quite light and not at all sticky, and lasts a good 6-7 hours on me. It’s a great colour that will work with a multitude of looks and depending on the finish you prefer, can be worn on bare skin, on top of foundation or set with a little powder.

L-R: Intimacy Sheer Lipgloss, Zygomatic Cream Blush

Sheer Lipgloss in Intimacy RRP AU$33

Intimacy is a lovely nude, pinky brown gloss with a tiny flecks of gold shimmer. It’s a great sheer colour that can be worn own its own or topped over lipstick. It applies nice and evenly with the brush applicator for a super glossy finish. It is on the sticky side but this helps with a longer lasting wear. Pair Intimacy with dark smokey eyes for a fun night out or just pop it on to run some errands. It’s a fab, no fuss, goes with everything colour that will suit all skin tones. I also love the fruity scent!
