Chanel “Printemps Precieux de Chanel" Spring 2013 Collection: Reviews, Photos & Swatches!

Spring releases are definitely my favourite when it comes to make up collections. The colours tend to be vibrant and feminine which is right up my alley, and our friends at Chanel certainly deliver with their latest Printemps Precieux de Chanel collection for Spring 2013!

The collection is a lovely combination of soft neutral eyes, glowly peach cheeks with a pop of colour on the lips. I’m happy to report that I got my hands on the majority of the Printemps Precieux products (I did say I love spring collections right?) only passing on the lipsticks as I’m not a huge fan of matte finishes. Seriously loving this collection as not only is it perfect for spring, it’s fabulous for all year around!

The centrepiece of the collection! A super gorgeous white gold highlighter. It’s quite finely milled and gives the face a lovely subtle glow. Oh and that embossing! Gah, how can you say no? Swatched below but honestly it was quite hard to truly capture the beautiful glow of the highlighter, so why not check out my video make up tutorial to see it in action.

My new favourite HG eyeshadow quad! Beautiful neutral toned colours and that can take you from day to night in a flash. Raffinement was actually the only eyeshadows that I brought with me on my recent holiday. I have a US version of the quad and the texture of the shadows is buttery soft, they apply super smooth onto the eye and pigmentation is lovely too.

A delicious vibrant peach shade that imparts a gorgeous natural flush to the cheeks. The finish is more of a satin, so no shimmer which is unique for Chanel, but also a nice change.

SAX Cosmetics Nail Life Nail Polishes!

One of my favourite things about beauty blogging is getting the chance to try out awesome brands that I would have otherwise overlooked. SAX Cosmetics is definitely one of them! An Aussie brand with awesome products and even better prices. If you haven’t tried their products before, then I highly suggest you hop to it. But for today, I’d like to share SAX’s newest release with you, their Nail Life Nail Polishes 🙂

Peter Thomas Roth Un-Wrinkle Peel Pads!

Being a beauty addict blogger, I often try a lot of different skincare products in my quest for perfect skin. Some I like, some I hate, some I’m indifferent about, but today, I want to talk about something I love. My newest holy grail skincare product – the Peter Thomas Roth Un-Wrinkle Peel Pads, and they are AMAZING!

Now you’re probably thinking… “Jess, I’ve seen your FOTD pics. You don’t have wrinkles”. Well yes, that’s true (thank god!) but as they always say prevention is better than a cure, so I was all over these when I first heard about them. The Peel Pads’ fabulous combination of power ingredients gently exfoliate the skin, stimulate cell turnover, and protect skin from environmental damage. So not only do they target wrinkles, they are super effective at improving the texture of your skin, helping to even out skintone and tighten pores.

The pads are designed to act as a gentle face peel, suitable for everyday use depending on your skin type. They are really easy to use too. After removing your make up at night, just grab one of the pads, wipe it all over your face avoiding the eye area, leave on for 1-3mins, and then rinse off! It will feel slightly tingly when applied, but I don’t find it at all uncomfortable or irritating. Each container contains 60 pads so it’s good for approximately 2 months if used on a daily basis. I have oily/combination skin and at first I used the Peel Pads everyday, but now I’ve found that I only need to use them around 3-4 times a week.

Since I started using these Peel Pads over 3 months ago, I have noticed a wonderful improvement in my skin’s texture, skintone and overall appearance. My skin used to be quite rough with small bumps but I hardly have any now, and my pores have significantly reduced in size especially around my nose area. I get less breakouts, and dark spots/scarring left from previous breakouts have also faded faster too. I love the Peter Thomas Roth Un-Wrinkle Peel Pads and have since purchased a new container, they have definitely become an integral part of my skincare routine!

Now I’m very eager to try the rest of his skincare range! Have you tried anything from Peter Thomas Roth?

Available now at all Kit Cosmetics counters/stores and online, RRP AU$56.95.

Face of Australia Luxe Enamel in Beauty Queen!

I’m baaaaack! Woohoooo and I thought I’d celebrate my return to the land of blogging with a splash of my favourite colour… pretty PINK goodness!

Two coats with no top coat, taken in natural light.

The Face of Australia Luxe Enamel in Beauty Queen is an amazing polish, not only do I LOVE the name, the colour is beautiful too. It’s a gorgeous bright, barbie pink that just screams all things girly! The formula, as I’ve found with all the FOA Luxe enamels, is lovely to work with. It applies smooth and opaque in a couple of coats, and dries super quick with a shiny finish. Absolutely great when you’re in a rush as I’ve been for the past couple of weeks. Such a happy colour for all seasons, Beauty Queen is one to pick up for all you pink lovers out there.

Available now online from Fashion Addict, along with the other 7 fun colours from the Luxe range. My tops picks are Beauty Queen, Minty Mojito, Foxy Roxy and Private Jet. RRP AU$4.95.
