L’Herboflore - New Facial Sheet Mask Love!

Face masks are a must when it comes to skincare maintenance and my most recent face mask love is L’Herboflore! L’Herboflore is a Taiwanese based brand that specialises in facial sheet masks. Super cute, effective masks!

How adorable are the illustrations on the packaging? Makes using them fun and will instantly brighten up your mood.

These are sheet masks made of a thin coth which is saturated with the liquid product in the packet. Take the face mask out, unfold and you’ll see that it has openings for your eyes, nose and mouth as well as several slits to help the sheet fit to your face better. Lay it on top of cleansed and toned skin and leave on for 15-20 minutes. Once you remove the sheet, gently pat any excess moisture left on the face with your fingers in light piano motions. This will help your face absorb the extra goodness! Now the sheet will never completely dry down whilst on the face, so once removed I like to move it onto other areas of my body, such as the neck or knees and elbows. You can also use the extra liquid in the packet on these areas as well.

There is a tonne of different types of L’herboflore facial sheet masks to choose from, each targeting different skin concerns from hydration to anti-aging. I tend to gravitate towards the ones for whitening, brightening or balancing the skin as I find these to be most effective for my skin type. After using one of these masks, I do find that my face feels smoother and softer, and visibly more even. The effects are not drastic so always best to be used as maintenance combined with your current skincare routine. Ideally you should pop on a mask at least once a week, which I personally like to do on Sunday evenings whilst vegging out in front of the TV. Oh and brightening masks are especially fabulous before a big event!

The L’Herboflore facial masks are available from counters in Taiwan, or for those of us not lucky enough to be in Taiwan, it’s best to contact the company through their Facebook page should you wish to purchase these. The masks retail from NT$50/AU$1.70 to NT$250/AU$8.45 each depending on the type.

Estée Lauder Double Wear Gel Eyeliner in Bold Cobalt!

When it comes to eye make up I tend to be more of a neutral girl day to day, but sometimes, I do like to add in some colour. This is when a product like Estée Lauder’s Double Wear Gel Eyeliner in Bold Cobalt becomes my best friend. It’s a divine, bright blue shade with a pretty blue micro shimmer. Intense yet subtle enough to add a pop of colour to your look without going OTT.

The formula is soft and creamy, so it’s very easy to work with. It’s quick to apply and glides onto the eye like a dream. Pigmentation is good too, with even coverage in one swipe, though I do like to apply a couple of layers to really intensify the colour. The shimmery, satin finish is super pretty too. The eyeliner sets quite fast and wears very well throughout the day. I saw no fading or smudging at all, but make sure to wear an eye primer if you have oily eyelids.

The product is housed in a sturdy glass pot with a gold screw top lid. It’s quite small and compact, and comes with a handy little brush, making it a good travel friendly option. I tend to use either the Sigma E05 or MAC 263 with this though and both work great. Oh and you guys know I adore gold accents, so the packaging definitely has me smiling.

Bold Cobalt is perfect for those lazy days when you don’t want to put too much effort into a look but still want that “wow” factor. The blue also make the whites of your eyes look brighter, so it works well with all skin tones. Just line the top lash line with Bold Cobalt, slick on a few good layers of mascara and you’re out the door. It can also be smudged out before it sets for a softer look or rock it with a fun blue-toned smokey eye for a more dramatic effect.

Overall I’m loving this liner and have been wearing it a lot lately. It my super quick “go to” look, especially now that I'm currently wearing eyelash extensions. Takes me about 2 minutes to do my eye make up!

In the pics below, I've just filled in my brows, applied a touch of Burberry Trench eyeshadow as a brow highlight and lined the top lash line with Bold Cobalt. Easy peasy :)

Chanel “Printemps Precieux de Chanel" Spring 2013 Collection: Reviews, Photos & Swatches!

Spring releases are definitely my favourite when it comes to make up collections. The colours tend to be vibrant and feminine which is right up my alley, and our friends at Chanel certainly deliver with their latest Printemps Precieux de Chanel collection for Spring 2013!

The collection is a lovely combination of soft neutral eyes, glowly peach cheeks with a pop of colour on the lips. I’m happy to report that I got my hands on the majority of the Printemps Precieux products (I did say I love spring collections right?) only passing on the lipsticks as I’m not a huge fan of matte finishes. Seriously loving this collection as not only is it perfect for spring, it’s fabulous for all year around!

Chanel Poudre Signee de Chanel Illuminating Powder US$68/AU$90

The centrepiece of the collection! A super gorgeous white gold highlighter. It’s quite finely milled and gives the face a lovely subtle glow. Oh and that embossing! Gah, how can you say no? Swatched below but honestly it was quite hard to truly capture the beautiful glow of the highlighter, so why not check out my video make up tutorial to see it in action.

Chanel Les 4 Ombres Eyeshadow Quad in Raffinement US$58/AU$98

My new favourite HG eyeshadow quad! Beautiful neutral toned colours and that can take you from day to night in a flash. Raffinement was actually the only eyeshadows that I brought with me on my recent holiday. I have a US version of the quad and the texture of the shadows is buttery soft, they apply super smooth onto the eye and pigmentation is lovely too.

Chanel Joues Contraste Powder Blush in Frivole US$43/AU$72

A delicious vibrant peach shade that imparts a gorgeous natural flush to the cheeks. The finish is more of a satin, so no shimmer which is unique for Chanel, but also a nice change.

Chanel Le Crayon Levres Precision Lip Definer in Rubellite US$29/AU$44

A fun vibrant pink shade. Wear it under lipstick or gloss to add more oomph and staying power to your look. It’s an absolutely gorgeous shade that I think would suit most skintones.

Chanel Stylo Yeux Waterproof Eyeliners in Or Rose and Santal US$30/AU$44

Or Rose is a beautiful pale champagne shade and does a lovely job at brightening any eye look when applied to the lower lash line or inner corners of the eye. Really want an eyeshadow this shade so shout out if you know of any! Santal is simply, beautiful bronzy goodness. Love applying this along my top lash line for a simple and casual eye look. Oh and once applied this does not budge! Perfect for hot humid weather and lazy days.

Chanel Spring 2013 Le Vernis in Emprise, Fracas & Accessoire!

Chanel has released 3 nail polishes or Le Vernis with their Spring 2013 collection “Printemps Precieux de Chanel” and what fabulous polishes they are! Though not overly unique, the 3 new nail polishes are great, wearable shades for all skin tones and are sure to become staples in anyone’s nail polish wardrobe.

Emprise 569 (LE) – A sweet, peachy nude. May seem a little boring but it’s a very feminine and work appropriate shade. It’s a creamy polish, with a slight pearlescent sheen in sunlight. Pretty but you’ll need 3 coats for even application and coverage.

Fracas 571 (LE) – A fun, bright pink with a slight coral tone. My favourite of the trio! It’s vibrant with a gorgeous gold pearl and I absolutely adore this shade. It just screams spring and summer to me, though I’m sure I’ll wear it all year round.

Accessoire 573 – A vampy, brown wine shade. Seems a little out of place in a spring collection but gorgeous nonetheless. A very sophisticated looking shade that applies flawlessly to the nails. Will be reaching for this one more in the cooler months.

Giorgio Armani Lip Maestro in #500, #501 & #502!

You've recently heard me gush about how much I love the Giorgio Armani Maestro Fusion Make Up, well the latest product in the Maestro line up is for the lips! Described as a "lip stain with a comfortable velvet texture and radiant finish", the Lip Maestro range does not disappoint.

I purchased 3 of these babies in an online haul last month, sight unseen as they haven't arrived on Australian counters as yet, so I went for the 3 pinky shades of 500, 501, and 502 (pictured above left-right).

The Lip Maestro does exactly what it promises. The texture is super smooth, silky and not at all drying for a velvet matte lip colour. They are lightweight and feel super comfortable on the lips. They're easy to apply with the doefoot applicator, and you get perfectly opaque coverage in one swipe. It doesn't quite dry to a fully matte finish though, it's slightly luminous and satin-like so some transfer can be expected. In saying that, the pigmentation of these is power packed so they last a good few hours. Definitely worth checking out!

I must admit I'm kind of in two minds about the Lip Maestros. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely I love the colours and the formulation, but I've always been more of a glossy lip kind of gal, especially in the summer months. We'll see how I feel come winter time lol.

Here are the swatches of my 3 colours on the lips. No idea why some have different names, but the names aren't listed on any of the packaging anyway, so better to go by the number code.

#500 Blush- A pinky nude that looks amazing when paired with a dark smokey eye.

#501 Casual Pink (or Liberta) - A rosy toned mauve. A great, everyday sort of colour that will match most looks.

#502 Art Deco (or Creation) - A super gorgeous, deep fuchsia. Love this colour, definitely my favourite out of the 3 that I purchased.

Chanel Holiday 2012 Make Up Collection!

One of my most anticipated make up releases of the holiday season is definitely the Chanel Holiday 2012 Make Up Collection (Éclats du Soir de Chanel). In fact, if you follow me on Twitter you may have noticed my daily checking status updates! Yep, I checked online stores daily after the counter release so that I could order it asap! Things people do to get their hands on make up lol.

Well now that I finally have it, it does not disappoint. The Chanel Holiday 2012 Collection is a brilliant mix of golds, pinks and deep reds. Gorgeous shades that are perfect for the holiday season and I'm absolutely smitten!

Chanel Regard Signe de Chanel Quandra Eyeshadow in Harmonie du Soir (LE)

The star of the collection. It's an amazing quad of 4 complementing shades of gold, taupe, plum-cranberry and light frosted pink. Made in the "Regard Signe de Chanel" formula the eyeshadows are embossed with a quilted pattern and CC monogram. Making it truly something special. The shadows are soft, buttery smooth with a pigmented shimmery finish. Love love love.

Chanel Illusion d'Ombre in Apparence (LE)

The texture of this cream shadow is so soft and pillowy. Love the golden shimmer it adds to the eye, and makes for a perfect base or wash of colour on the lids. Can be built up to increase intensity as you wish and the lasting power is amazing.

Chanel Joues Contrast Powder Blush in Star Dust (LE)

A soft, sheer light pink with gold shimmer and sparkles. At first I thought it may be too light for my skin tone but it proves perfect for adding a nice subtle pink glow to the cheeks.

Chanel Levres Scintillantes Glossimers in Mystery (permanent) and Allegorie (LE)

Mystery is a lovely, creamy neutral pink that I've been wearing daily since I got it. Allegorie is a sheer pink with pretty sparkles that is fab for layering over lipsticks to add more oomph to your pout.

The latest buzz in foundation-land is Giorgio Armani's new Maestro Fusion Make Up. Not quite a foundation, not quite skincare... it's revolutionary oil-based product that is super lightweight and looks invisible on the skin, but leaves your face with a soft and flawless finish.

I've been using this for the past month or so and have been loving it like crazy! So today, I thought I'd share a quick review and demo with you guys. Happy watching :)

Estée Lauder Pure Color Gelee Powder Eyeshadows!

When it comes to the eyes, shimmery shades are my BFFs. So when the new range of Estee Lauder Pure Colour Gelee Powder Eyeshadows were released a few months back, I just knew I had to try them out!

The Pure Colour Gelee Powder Eyeshadows and made with True Vision Technology, which helps to amplify the colour giving it a highly metallic finish. The shadows are super pigmented and the texture is smooth, making application a breeze. They’re also long lasting and can be used either wet or dry. So would work for a whole range of make up looks, from day to night.

I was lucky enough to receive these 3 gorgeous shades to trial, and I can honestly say they are divine! Just check out that beautiful shimmer above :)

Cyber Copper – Love love love this shade. Works wonderfully for shimmery smokey eye looks!

Cyber Gold – A stunning true gold shade that instantly brightens up the eyes when I wear it.

Ultra Marine (LE) – Gorgeous marine blue shade that is perfection as a liner. Use it wet for an even more intense look.

Here they are on the eyes, I’ve used the shadows dry for a lovely day time look. Cyber Gold all over the lid, Cyber Copper in the outer corner and crease, Ultra Marine along the lower lash line.

Tom Ford Beauty Fall 2012 Colour Collection!

The Tom Ford Beauty Fall 2012 Colour Collection is a delectable feast of sweet pinks to rich plum and emerald shades. With such feminine and sophisticated makeup, in the stunning signature gold trimmed packaging, Tom Ford has truly outdone himself with this collection. It is to die for, just see for yourself!

Eye Colour Quad in Enchanted*
A gorgeous mix of neutral shadows with an injection of pink and plum undertones. I absolutely adore this quad. As with Tom Ford's other eyeshadow palettes, the textures of the shadows a buttery soft and apply super smoothly. Pigmentation is a little on the sheerer side, but apply the shadows wet and it's not a problem. I especially love the frosty pink shade in the top right corner!

Cream Colour for Eyes in Plum Absolute (LE)*
A lovely cream shadow in a plum wine colour. Love this loads because once applied, it does not budge! Absolutely fabulous swept all over the lid, used as a liner, or my personal favourite, as an eyeshadow base.

Lip and Cheek Stain in Tainted Love (LE)*
A super pretty, rose toned stain. Dot it onto your cheeks and blend for a lovely rosy flush, or swipe it onto the lips for rich berry pout. It's an awesomely versatile product, and with it's sleek packaging, Tainted Love is perfect for travelling and touch ups on the go!

Cheek Colour in Narcissist
A picture paints a 1000 words right, so what else can I really say? This blush is simply stunning. Narcissist is crazy bright, but oh so wearable. The pigmentation is insane and the texture is silky smooth. If you love pink blushes as much as me, I think you definitely need this one in your life!
